Internet Communications

The Alumni Association's information and communications infrastructure is provided by SRI's Information Technology Services (ITS) organization. SRI serves as the Association's Internet Service Provider (ISP) and  Web server. ITS provides all of the support and back-up services typical for those functions. The Alumni Association's support is handled much the same as it is for any SRI laboratory or center.

The Internet Communications Committee serves as the primary interface between ITS and the Alumni Association. All mailing lists, Web pages and membership lists are maintained by the Association, with inputs/changes provided to the Internet Communications Committee by various Steering Committee sub-committees. The Internet Communications committee has the responsibility for coordinating the installation of those inputs with SRI's IT staff.

The committee is continuing to work with SRI personnel to enhance the Alumni Association's web pages. We recently switched to an online membership form. In the near future, we hope to also offer electronic survey results and process membership renewals, event registrations, and address changes online.
