Membership
Membership in the Alumni Association is open to all former SRI employees and their spouses when they voluntarily leave SRI. In addition, staff who have retired from their full time jobs at SRI, but remain on the staff in a Temporary Hourly status, are also welcome to join the organization. Staff who terminate are given free membership in the Association for the remainder of the year in which they terminate, provided that they fill out and return the membership application form provided in the check-out packet and available online here. (Current employee privacy laws preclude SRI from providing any personal information to the Alumni Association directly.)
Upon receipt of the application form by the Association, the departing employee will receive all Association publications and notices of social events for the remainder of the calendar year. In the fall , they will receive the normal annual membership renewal notice sent to all Association members.
Currently, the Alumni Association has approximately 400 members located around the globe. We are always striving to recruit new members into the organization. If you are interested in receiving more information about the Association, or know a former SRI staff member (or spouse) who would be interested in joining our group, please contact the Membership Chairperson.
The Membership Committee is responsible for maintaining a secure and accurate database of member's names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, membership status, etc. All information contained in the database is held in strict confidence and reserved only for Alumni Association use. Occasionally, the Association receives a request for personal information about one of our members, in which case we notify the sender that we have forwarded the request to the member for his/her action as appropriate.
No commercial solicitations are ever sent to any members by the Association.
We rely on notifications from our membership to keep our database records current.
