Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Fellows Each year, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) bestows its Fellowship on a select group of members in recognition of unusual distinction in the engineering profession. The IEEE, the world's largest technical professional society, is devoted to advancing the theory and application of electronics and computing. Fellows of the IEEE include those honored by Fellowship in two earlier societies—the American Institute of Electrical Engineers and the Institute of Radio Engineers.
