National Achievement Award Scholarships

SRI funds scholarships annually for two academically outstanding African American high school students pursuing fields of study that align with SRI's fields of expertise, which include the discipline areas of science and technology. Each scholarship pays $1,000 per year for up to four years, or until completion of a bachelor's degree, whichever occurs sooner.

Winners are chosen based on the results of PSATs taken in the student's junior high school year, along with specific qualifying background. Final award determinations are made by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation's award committee.
