History of SRI International, 1980s


1983: To study space weather and global change, SRI establishes the Sondrestrom Upper Atmospheric Research Facility in cooperation with Denmark's Meteorological Institute, in Sondrestrom, Greenland.
				1987: Sarnoff Corporation (then known as RCA Laboratories) becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of SRI.
