The Instrumentation and Simulation Program’s mission is to increase the effectiveness of combat readiness training and instrumentation used to evaluate military systems. The program uses
- Innovative approaches
- The practical application of science and technology
- The experience of an integrated staff who are trained in multiple technical disciplines and are familiar with military concepts, tactics, training, and operations
Capabilities include GPS tracking, geo-pairing, live-virtual-constructive systems integration (simultaneous and real-time), relocatable communications and data networks, and realistic terrain products that, collectively, capture all exercise events for 3-D after-action reviews.
Since 2005, the program has supported more than 33 exercises in 20 different states. More than 30,000 military personnel representing all branches of the Armed Forces and first responders have been trained.
Clients include the Army National Guard, Army Reserve Command, Joint Special Operations Command, the Army Test & Evaluation Command, the U.S. Marine Corps, the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, and Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness.
