Greg's expertise includes biomedical optics, nonlinear optics, laser development, and optical diagnostics.
In 2009, Greg received SRI's Mimi Award, offered to staff members who
inspire co-workers and contribute to their
success. He also co-manages SRI's participation in the National Science Foundation's Research Experience for Undergraduates program, which provides opportunities for undergraduates to participate in research at SRI.
Greg holds a B.S.E. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (summa cum
laude, 1980) from Princeton University and a Ph.D. in Applied Physics
(1986) from Stanford University. He has been an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow
at the Lund Institute of Technology, Lund, Sweden, and an Postdoctoral
Fellow at SRI.
