Kaily Yee

Kaily Yee, a research analyst in SRI International’s Center for Education Policy, has experience in both qualitative and quantitative research on K–12 school reform and teacher development. She is involved in a number of projects, including the National Evaluation of the Teacher Incentive Fund and the evaluation of the Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources Program, participating in survey development, interview protocol development, data collection, and analysis. In addition, she is assisting with data collection for the Evaluation of the Human Capital Management Initiatives and a task order for the U.S. Department of Education’s Policy and Program Studies Service examining strategies for preparing at-risk youth for postsecondary success.

In previous SRI work, Yee participated in data collection and analysis for such projects as the National Evaluation of Writing Professional Development, the evaluation of the Texas High School Project, and national evaluations of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Early College High School Initiative and the U.S. Department of Education’s Teaching American History Program.

Before joining SRI, she was development director at a small Catholic school in the Bronx, New York, and was in the New Business Services Unit of an international development firm.

Yee earned her master’s degree in public policy with an emphasis on international development policy. Her graduate research was on the link between teacher quality and student outcomes in international settings. Yee has an undergraduate degree in international politics with a minor in Asian studies from Georgetown University.
