Meghan Comstock

Meghan Comstock, a research analyst in SRI International's Center for Education Policy, is involved in projects on educator evaluation and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) learning. She participates in background research, survey development and administration, and interview facilitation. Specific current projects are the Evaluation of Massachusetts Human Capital Management Initiatives, the Evaluation of the ITEST Program, and the Formative Evaluation of the California Office to Reform Education (CORE) District Assessment Pilot.

Before joining SRI, Comstock worked as a fellow in the Office of State Senator Mike Johnston in Denver, Colorado, where she developed a proposal to address city transportation policy issues. She participated in community meetings and interviews with stakeholders and collaborated with other fellows to support the senator in his work on teacher evaluation reform. Prior to her experience in policy, Comstock taught fifth-grade math and science in Jonestown, Mississippi, as a Teach for America corps member.

Comstock holds a B.S. in biology from the University of Virginia, where she worked in the laboratory of Dr. Michael Timko in the Department of Biology as an undergraduate researcher.
