Peter Madrid
Associate Program Director, Center for Infectious Disease and Biodefense Research
Peter Madrid, Ph.D., is an associate program director in the Center for Infectious Disease and Biodefense Research at SRI International. In this role, he focuses on developing broad-spectrum antibiotics, and on improved treatment regimens for tuberculosis. He leads multiple drug discovery programs at SRI.
Madrid has numerous research papers published in the field of anti-infectives drug discovery.
He received his Ph.D. in chemistry and chemical biology from the University of California, San Francisco, and his B.S. in chemistry from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
