Scott Fields

Scott Fields, Ph.D., is a research scientist in the Center for Infectious Disease and Biodefense Research at SRI International. He has a diverse range of scientific interests, including antiviral drug discovery, antibody production/purification, immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, epigenetic mechanisms of transcriptional regulation, proteomics, and genomics. He manages the high-throughput antiviral screening center, screening compounds against a multitude of viruses including SARS, West Nile, influenza, Dengue, arenavirus, and polio.

Fields received his Ph.D. in biochemistry from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO, and his B.A. in biology from the University of Northern Colorado in Greely, CO.
