Day in the Life at SRI:
Qualifying leads; introducing commercial clients to SRI's technologies and capabilities; managing business and IP issues (ownership and rights) in contract
R&D and license negotiations; developing new value propositions (NABCs)
and iterating them often first internally and then externally; mitigating risk for clients, licensees, and VCs.
Before SRI:
Three years at Raychem as a senior engineer first in Corporate R&D incubating a gas sensor technology and later in the New Opportunity Exploration Group of
the Telecommunications, Energy, and Industrial Division identifying new investment opportunities for the business development team.
Academics:
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from MIT

Personal: High school teacher in Liberia, West Africa, for 2 years. Professional: Sold assets and IP rights of Raychem's gas sensor technology after it was
shelved in a deal valued at $3.2 million.
