For more than 40 years, SRI’s wafer foundry has offered silicon processing for a diverse array of technologies. SRI is a certified QML manufacturer for integrated circuits produced by the Generalized Emulation of Microcircuits (GEM) program. All GEM microcircuits are delivered in compliance with the requirements of MIL-PRF-38535. This includes complete traceability, total compliance with customer procurement requirements, and delivery with a certificate of conformance.

In 2007 the DoD Trusted Access Program Office (TAPO) accredited SRI’s wafer foundry as a DoD Category 1 Trusted Foundry. SRI also earned the Defense Supply Center Columbus Supplier Excellence Gold Award for maintaining the highest performance standards. The wafer foundry enables technical self-sufficiency, with capabilities from design to manufacturing that can all be performed in-house.
