Wildlife Conservation Society

SRI's Envirotechnical Program provided environmental compliance support to the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) and its federally funded development of a proposed Center for Global Conservation (CGC) at the Bronx Zoo in New York. The CGC would be used for administration and planning of conservation efforts by the WCS worldwide. The Envirotechnical Program prepared an environmental assessment for the proposed 33,000 square foot CGC building. Development was proposed at a site used for animal displays and away from structures considered historical individually or as a district by local and state preservation authorities.
