PATRICIA L. BURNS Program Director
Ms. Burns has over 30 years experience in providing managerial assistance on large advanced systems deployments, and research and coordination of efforts in aerospace technology, geophysical methods, electric utility consulting, and nuclear and non-nuclear test effects. For more than 15 years, she has provided programmatic and administrative management and technical coordination of complex, multidisciplinary environmental and engineering services projects. This experience includes the management of siting and environmental support services for line offices of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), including such facilities as weather and surveillance radars, research and office buildings, satellite ground stations, and sensitive instrumentation arrays. She has worked extensively throughout the contiguous U.S. and Alaska, across the South Pacific and the Caribbean, and in Indonesia, Egypt, and Norway.
Ms. Burns holds a B.A. in English from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and an M.B.A. from the University of Santa Clara in California. She has undergone U.S. Air Force survival and civilian flight training, and has participated in a number of environmental and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design classes and workshops. She has authored over 300 project and technical reports.
