Coastal-dependent Land Use Analysis

SRI's Envirotechnical Program has extensive experience and expertise in the planning and evaluation of facilities proposed in coastal regions. Our research has supported the selection and environmental review of coastal-dependent or coastal-related facilities throughout the United States. This expertise includes coastal zone management analysis, Coastal Zone Management Act consistency determinations, and permit consulting. Typical coastal projects include land use feasibility, environmental review, and agency permitting necessary for marine research centers, marine-related visitors centers, vessel docks and homeports, communications and surveillance facilities, and related facilities for remote staff housing, marine and vehicular access, utility service corridors, and pier infrastructure. The following links include examples of projects involving coastal-dependent land use and environmental analysis.
