SRI's Envirotechnical Program has over 15 years of experience assisting government and private clients in performing environmental due diligence for proposed land acquisitions. Registered Environmental Assessors on the program staff conduct these studies to examine the possible presence of contamination at target properties and the potential for the acquirer to incur liability for corrective or remedial actions, to rectify the condition, and allow future use of the land. Proper environmental due diligence also supports the assertion of innocent landowner privileges under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). Our program has prepared over 100 environmental due diligence documents conforming to requirements set forth in CERCLA, ASTM E1527-00: Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments: Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Process, Department of Commerce Real Property Management Manual, FAA Order 1050.19A, and other industry and government standards as appropriate. We have performed Phase 1 and Phase 2 environmental due diligence studies throughout the United States from Guam to Maine and have investigated many types of property, including government, industrial, commercial, agriculture, military, and mining properties.
