SRI St. Petersburg’s Chemical Sensors group has an overarching goal to create pervasive networks of unattended high performance marine chemical sensors. We are currently pursuing three parallel areas of research:

• Development and deployment of in situ mass spectrometers for marine environments
• Miniaturization of mass spectrometer components and systems with MEMS technology
• Development of novel and /or miniature power sources for marine applications

We anticipate these research efforts will have broader reaching impacts outside of marine technology.
