Need

A method of inspecting interiors of aging natural gas pipelines(small and difficult to traverse)

Solution

• Developed a magnetic wheel design with a unique rolling tire for holding power and reduced rolling resistance
• Designed and developed a vehicle capable of moving through all pipe obstacles
• Delivered and demonstrated a working prototype to Osaka Gas
