Scott Seaton
Executive Director of the Engineering and Systems Division

Scott Seaton is the Executive Director of the Engineering and Systems Division of SRI International. Silicon Valley-based SRI International is a leading independent technology innovator, operating at the crossroads of technology and business. The Division's work focuses on the development of advanced systems through the application of leading edge technology. In this role, he directs a 150-member staff conducting research, development, deployment, and support of technologies and systems in the areas of communication, signal processing and algorithm development, medical devices, robotic systems, advanced transducers, signals and electronic intelligence, wireless communications, network-centric systems, as well as discipline-based programs with expertise in software, systems, product, and production engineering.

In his 21-year tenure at SRI, Mr. Seaton has been involved in line management, business development, and program and project management for both government and commercial organizations. His areas of technical expertise include electronic system design and development; requirements development; system architecture and specification; advanced wireless technologies; rugged electronics packaging, training, and field operations; graphic interface design; database management; collaborative computing; observables technology; radar cross section measurement techniques; radio frequency/data acquisition/control system design; over-the-horizon radar technology; and signal intercept, direction-finding, and SIGINT techniques.

Prior to SRI International, Mr. Seaton served with the U.S. Naval Security Group in Pensacola, Florida and Keflavik, Iceland. Mr. Seaton holds a BS from San Jose State University.
