SRI Becomes Founding Member of MAST

Menlo Park, Calif. (July 09, 1999) -- SRI has become a founding member --> -- of the Measurement and Signature Technology Association, or MAST. Formed in January of 1999, the association promotes the application of "measurement and signature" technologies across all levels of government. These technologies cover a wide range of current research activities at SRI, including radar, sonar, spectral remote sensing, infrared sensors, biological and chemical sensors, and microsensors.
 
The association has already briefed two key advisory panels in the Congress and has scheduled a series of roundtable luncheons this year with key managers in Federal agencies.
