SRI International Promotes Robert Wilson as Director of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Laboratory
The Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Laboratory is engaged in research and development activities that incorporate fundamental and applied chemistry skills. The lab is at the forefront of several R&D areas including advanced polymers, synthesis and organometallics.
Wilson, who joined SRI in 1982, has helped to develop many successful programs within the SRI laboratory. He previously held the position of director of the Inorganic and Organic Chemistry Department. As lab director, he will continue to focus on expanding SRI's commercial client base.
Wilson has authored or co-authored more than forty publications and two patents. He is an expert in the high-growth business of metallocenes and was a speaker at the 1997 World Vinyl Forum. Wilson is also an active member of the American Chemical Society, California Catalysis Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Wilson holds a B.S. in chemistry from Ohio State University and an M.S. in chemistry and a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from the University of Michigan.
