SRI International Powers Up DEMOmobile 2004

Industry Expert Larry Dubois Addresses Next-Generation Mobile Power Sources

Menlo Park, Calif., September 7, 2004 - Dr. Larry Dubois, vice president of Physical Sciences at SRI International, will share his knowledge and insight into the future of mobile power sources during an on-stage interview with Chris Shipley, executive producer, at DEMOmobile 2004 (www.demomobile.com). The interview is scheduled for Friday, September 10 at the Hilton La Jolla, Torrey Pines.

Among the topics Dr. Dubois will address are current advancements in battery power and power management, cutting-edge energy technologies currently in development, and how manufacturers are likely to incorporate these technologies into products that will help drive our ever-expanding mobile lifestyle.

"As next-generation mobile technologies get closer to market, the ability to juggle shrinking product size, performance, and cost will be key to their widespread adoption," said Dr. Dubois. "Research currently under way at SRI International and other leading R&D organizations will have a significant impact on the extended life performance we can expect from our mobile devices."

"As manufacturers continually push the limits of mobile devices, the ability to deliver more powerful, more efficient, and more cost-effective energy sources that complement the mobile lifestyle will be as important to the success of the market as the devices themselves," said Shipley.
