Hydrogen Safety Research Program
Erik Merilo, Senior Research Engineer, Poulter Laboratory
Although hydrogen has been safely used in a variety of industries for many years, it is increasingly used as a transportation fuel. In this podcast, research engineer Erik Merilo explains how SRI researchers work with government and industry partners to conduct experiments to address hydrogen safety concerns. SRI's hydrogen research program generates data to develop safety codes and standards for hydrogen development, with the overall goal of ensuring that hydrogen can be safely used by the general public.
