Researchers in SRI’s Center for Advanced Drug Research (CADRE) use proteomics, an analytical approach to identify proteins in an organism at a certain time, to understand how viruses, bacteria, and parasites interact with the human immune system. In this podcast, hear about how SRI’s proteomics research is focused on developing preventive treatments for rare and neglected diseases and zoonotic diseases spread by insects. No disease exists by itself, and SRI researchers are looking for the weakest links that will help break a disease’s transmission cycle.
