Sarnoff Completes Sale of Power Survey Corporation™ (PSC)

June 4, 2007—Sarnoff Corporation today announced the sale of its stray voltage detection subsidiary Power Survey Corporation™ (PSC) to a group of private investors. PSC, now named Power Survey Company, is a service business dedicated to the drive-by detection of hazardous stray voltage in street-level objects, such as manhole covers, utility boxes, and lampposts.

The completion of the PSC sale affirms Sarnoff’s ability to develop highly advanced technology solutions, shape concepts into working products and eventually form companies that offer products and services based on customer needs. Sarnoff will continue to serve the company as a supplier of the sensing technologies used by PSC’s detection teams.

Sarnoff developed the advanced sensing technology over several years before launching PSC in October 2006. At the time of the sale, Sarnoff’s cutting-edge SVD2000™ technology is the only system capable of sensing hazardous stray voltage from a moving vehicle. SVD2000™ uses a sophisticated sensor with proprietary electronics and software that can quickly and efficiently identify stray voltage, even in the presence of overhead wires.
