Sarnoff to Hold Live TerraSight™ Demo at AUSA Winter Symposium Using Wireless, Real-Time Ft. Lauderdale 3D Views
Sarnoff Corporation today announced it will be holding a live demonstration of its TerraSight™ persistent surveillance software at AUSA Winter, booth #1801, using real-time views of Ft. Lauderdale wirelessly transmitted from outside the convention center. In addition, Sarnoff will debut TerraScout™ Basic which performs multiple functions for mobile persistent surveillance.
TerraSight is an advanced C4ISR-enabling persistent surveillance solution that provides users with a common operating picture. Live video and data feeds are draped over a 3D area map to generate true situational understanding ideal for mission commanders, tactical operators, and imagery analysts. Field proven, the system is currently deployed and licensed service-wide to the Army.
At AUSA Winter, Sarnoff will demo TerraSight using live remote-controlled video of the surrounding Ft. Lauderdale area transmitted wirelessly from outside the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center. This live video, transmitted using Fortress Technologies secure wireless networking, will then be draped over an ultra-realistic 3D model of the surrounding area, all in real time.
“Today TerraSight is in the field, actively helping warfighters detect threats and obtain useful, relevant information to make lightning quick real-time decisions,” said Mark Clifton, Sarnoff’s Acting President and Chief Executive Officer. “We’re excited to give AUSA Winter attendees a live look at the system in action.”
In addition, at AUSA Winter, Sarnoff will debut multiple sensor control for the TerraScout mobile persistent surveillance system. TerraScout Basic fuses wide-angle IR and visible views enabling military and civilian users to survey their surroundings and obtain actionable surveillance information on the move. Sarnoff will demonstrate TerraScout’s advanced vision processing capabilities through mobile control of multiple sensors located at the booth and outside the convention center.
