SRI International Education Researchers to Present New Findings at 2009 American Educational Research Association (AERA) Meeting
Menlo Park, Calif. —April 8 , 2009—SRI International, an independent nonprofit research and development institute, today announced that SRI education policy experts and researchers will deliver presentations focusing on critical issues such as student success, achievement gaps in education, and teacher skills at the annual meeting of the American Education Research Association (AERA) on April 13 -17 in San Diego.
Researchers will offer presentations that explore multidisciplinary skills needed across the educational spectrum, from students to teachers and school district officials. Issues such as school reform and learning environments will be addressed by SRI panelists.
In addition, presentations will address a wide variety of subject matter, from arts curriculum to technology in math, physics, and science education. SRI presenters will address 21st century skills that students will need to succeed in the global community, examine the use of data in decision making and evidence-centered design, and report on recent studies of risk behaviors among young adults with disabilities.
