SRI International President and CEO Curtis Carlson to Deliver Keynote Address at Ocean Tomo's Live IP Auction Gala Dinner
Dr. Carlson to Address Intellectual Property, Investment, and Business Professionals on Importance of Innovation to the Economy

Carlson, Ph.D., president and CEO of SRI International, will deliver the keynote address at the Ocean Tomo Spring 2008 Live Intellectual Property Auction & Conference Gala Dinner on April 1 at The Bently Reserve in San Francisco.
Dr. Carlson will present the keynote speech, "The Innovation Imperative," to an audience of more than 300 executive-level intellectual property, investment, and business professionals, including Fortune 500 IP and technology professionals, C-level executives from small to mid-size companies, professional inventors, investors, entrepreneurs, attorneys, and others.

Dr. Carlson became president and CEO of SRI International in December 1998. Previously, he spent more than 20 years with Sarnoff Corporation, a wholly owned SRI subsidiary. As head of Ventures and Licensing at Sarnoff, he helped found more than 6 new companies. He started and helped lead the high-definition television (HDTV) program that became the U.S. standard and in 1997 won an Emmy® Award for outstanding technical achievement for Sarnoff. Dr. Carlson has published or presented more than 50 technical publications and holds fundamental patents in the fields of image quality, image coding, and computer vision.
The Ocean Tomo Spring 2008 Live IP Auction & Conference will be held on April 1 - 2 at the Ritz-Carlton San Francisco. It is a full two-day event comprised of a one-and-a-half-day conference on "Corporate IP Strategies" and "Leveraging IP for Investors," a gala dinner at the Bently Reserve, and the Live IP Auction, where 86 lots in over 16 technology areas will be placed on the auction block.
