MENLO PARK , Calif.- April 7, 2005 - SRI International, an independent nonprofit research and development organization, today announced it has been ranked as one of the 100 best places to work in the Greater Bay Area. At an award banquet last night at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco, the San Francisco Business Times recognized SRI as one of the Bay Area's 100 Best Places to Work. The award, which is based in large part on an employee satisfaction survey, was granted to SRI for its exceptional work environment, benefits, policies, and practices among the area's best companies.

The rankings were sponsored by The San Francisco Business Times, Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal and East Bay Business Times. The founding partner for the award program is Deloitte, and additional sponsors are Kaiser Permanente, Keller Graduate School of Management and DeVry University, Nixon Peabody LLP, Northern California Human Resources Association, Bay Area Council and Quantum Market Research.
