SRI International Researchers to Present New Findings at American Education Research Association (AERA) Annual Meeting in Chicago

MENLO PARK, Calif. -- April 2, 2007 -- SRI International education policy experts and researchers will present important new findings at the American Education Research Association (AERA) annual meeting in Chicago from April 9-April 13. SRI, an independent nonprofit research and development institute, is scheduled to present on more than 30 topics, including:

 

  • Teacher Preparation
  • Charter School Research and Evaluation
  • Intentions and Tensions of Accountability under No Child Left Behind
  • Characteristics of and Services for Students with Disabilities
  • Challenges and Innovations in Studying Learning in Informal Contexts
  • Family Involvement Interventions: Shining the Spotlight on Evaluation

SRI researchers will also conduct several professional development and training workshops at the conference, including "Designing and Validating Assessments for Research: A Practical Roadmap From Conceptual Framework to Work Plan."
