NLTS2 Educators' Page

Welcome, Educators and Adult Service Providers!

We appreciate the involvement and support of all staff and teachers of school districts across the country. Teachers of students in the study received school surveys to be filled out and returned to NLTS2.

More than 400 of the over 500 school districts and special schools participating in the study wished to be recognized on the Web. Click here to see the list.

In addition to school coordinator stipends and teacher honorariums as "thank-yous" for assissting with NLTS2, 20 schools will be randomly selected to receive $500 gift certificates for school supplies.

This page will provide study information relevant to professionals who work with youth in high school and as they transition to adulthood. NLTS2 study findings will report on such important topics as successful transition planning efforts, risk behaviors, dropout prevention, and self-determination. Educators will play a critical role in NLTS2 because many of you will provide important information about your practices in working with students.

We anticipate that NLTS2 will be a resource for educators as they seek to improve results for youth. This site will be a resource to disseminate information about NLTS2 findings and a forum to discuss the meaning of those results and how they can be applied in school settings.

Stay tuned for updates on how you can share information with fellow professionals who are interested in the same youth issues and concerns. We welcome your input.
