The parent phone interviews were a success! More than 9,000 parents and guardians completed interviews or filled out family surveys. We will be analyzing the data in the coming months.

One of the most important contributions of the original NLTS was to be a resource for policy-makers, administrators, researchers, educators, and advocates seeking both to develop new policy emphases and directions to improve educational outcomes and to evaluate progress in existing policy contexts. NLTS2 will continue this tradition with a wealth of information that will be useful at the local, state, and national levels. The NLTS2 Web site will provide not only a place to disseminate information about study findings, but also a forum to discuss the significance of the results for policy formulation, evaluation, and development.
