Molecular Genetics Program
The Molecular Genetics Program in SRI International's Center for Health Sciences investigates the genetic basis of complex traits and diseases. Currently, our research focus is on nicotine addiction.
We employ a variety of high-throughput genomic technologies and data analysis methods to characterize genetic predisposition and gene-gene or gene-environment interactions in complex traits.
Our work is performed in collaboration with investigators at the University of California at San Francisco, the Universities of Nebraska, Southern California, Toronto, Pennsylvania, and Pittsburgh, and with Group Health Cooperative (Seattle), and is sponsored by the National Institutes of Health.
