Martin Grill

Martin Grill joined SRI's Molecular Physics Laboratory as a postdoctoral fellow in 2008.

Martin holds a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) degree in Mechatronics from the University of Applied Sciences, Esslingen, Germany, and a PhD (2007) in Communication Systems from Lancaster University, UK.

Martin's main areas of interest include:

• Design, development, deployment, and maintenance of fixed and mobile scientific instruments
• Software engineering including high- and low-level software design
• Electric, electronic, optical, and mechanical engineering
• Autonomous, remotely-controllable, streaming data acquisition and processing
• Distributed processing, internetworking, and grid/cloud computing
