ANALYSIS OF IMPACT AND PENETRATION


Poulter laboratory is involved in the analysis of impact and penetration problems for a variety of applications. These include:

O Armor and anti-armor development.
O Light armor for vehicle protection.
O Bullet proof garment development.
O Protection of aircraft from engine failure fragments.
O Analysis of penetrating weapon design.

Some example impact and penetration simulations are shown in the figures below.
