Solar Cells

The Materials & Processes group is involved in many aspects of the solar cell industry:

• Production of materials for solar cells (e.g., silicon, cadmium telluride, copper indium diselenide)

• Development of diffusion, metallization and passivation technologies

• Technoeconomic analyses of the production of solar cells and modules for plant yield improvement

• Consulting for large corporations seeking to acquire solar cell producers.
  This work has resulted in over a dozen U.S. and international patents.
