Evaluation Planning + Design

SRI's education researchers perform evaluation planning and design to build rigorous education evaluations that answer important questions about program implementation and impacts. SRI collaborates closely with clients to clarify their strategy, define indicators of progress and success, and identify data sources.

SRI's education centers evaluate programs that offer the possibility of dramatically improving teaching and learning outcomes in both school and out-of-school settings. They lead the field in developing and applying complementary methods to gain insight into what works, for whom, and under what conditions. For emerging innovations, SRI helps clients refine the theory of action for their program. We also partner with organizations to collect and reflect on data they can use to improve their innovation.

For clients seeking to demonstrate the effectiveness of mature programs, SRI offers these education evaluation planning capabilities:

  • Rigorous research designs

  • Development of instruments to capture unique program aspects or outcomes

  • Collection and analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data

  • Insightful, informative reports
