SRI’s Robotics Program invents, applies, and commercializes systems, software, and components that deliver the promise of state-of-the-art robotics to government and commercial markets. For more than 40 years, SRI has been at the forefront of robotics R&D, from applied research through the design of advanced prototypes and product development.

We are redefining the robotics design space through solutions for dexterous telemanipulation, healthcare automation, service robots, and micro-scale assembly platforms. Our advanced component technologies use capabilities such as electroadhesion, which is demonstrated on platforms such as surface-climbing robots. We have developed advanced industrial manipulation solutions such as our MicroFactory™ for smart manufacturing.

By attracting and retaining the brightest minds in robotics from renowned universities, research organizations, and industries worldwide, SRI’s cross-disciplinary robotics teams offer extensive expertise in artificial intelligence, algorithm development, sensors, and vision research. SRI continually evaluates and develops its technology portfolio to bring the latest advancements in robotics to meet government and commercial market needs.
