Charles H. (Chuck) Shaw
Executive Director, Defense and Intelligence Programs, Government Business Development
Charles H. (Chuck) Shaw is executive director of Defense and Intelligence Programs for SRI International’s Government Business Development team, based in SRI’s Washington, D.C. facility.
Previously, Shaw served as the vice president of strategic business development at Metron, Inc., where he was responsible for restructuring and strategic growth including the identification, development, and transition of strategic campaigns, customer shaping, and developing and executing selected capture plans and major proposals for existing customers.
Earlier, he served as director of Innovation and Future Capabilities at Lockheed Martin in the Maritime Systems and Sensors division. In addition, Shaw has an extensive background in the U.S. Army. He served more than 20 years in uniform, and was on the faculty of the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School where he was the Senior Army Fellow at the Institute for Joint Warfare Analysis (IJWA). While at IJWA, he supervised significant R&D efforts for the Joint Staff and multiple Combatant Commanders.
He received his M.S. in operations analysis from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, and a B.S. degree in mechanical/systems engineering from the U.S. Military Academy. Shaw is also a Certified Professional Logistician from the Society of Logistics Engineers and member of the National Defense Industrial Association, Military Operations Research Society, and International Test & Evaluation Association.
