Jennifer Knudsen

Director of Mathematics Teaching and Learning, Center for Technology in Learning

Jennifer Knudsen is a  senior principal mathematics educator for SRI International's Center for Technology in Learning. She is an expert in the design of curriculum and professional development for middle school mathematics. Her research and products include innovative performatory approaches for learning to teach Common Core practices. For example, she directs Bridging Professional Development, in which teachers learn new teaching moves for supporting students’ argumentation through specially designed improv “games.”

Knudsen also designs curriculum integrated with technology to provide peak mathematical experiences for students; for example, Cornerstone materials and software support learning critical topics in proportionality, linear function, algebraic expressions and similarity—with exciting new software. In the past, she directed curriculum and professional development efforts for a comprehensive middle school program.
