Research Scientist, Center for Technology in Learning

Mingyu Feng, Ph.D., is a research scientist at SRI International's Center for Technology in Learning. Feng’s research focuses on design and implementation of educational technologies to improve STEM learning in K-12 settings; she has extensive experience working on intelligent tutoring systems and other online learning systems. Feng is also interested in formative and continuous assessment, especially within computer-supported systems.

Feng has explored how students’ interaction with tutoring system can become a predictor of their high-stake test performance. She also specializes in user modeling and educational data mining and has analyzed large amounts of student learning data. Feng has also worked in the areas of cognitive modeling and psychometrics.
