Richard “Scoop” Jackson
Senior Director, Federal Partnerships
Colonel Richard “Scoop” Jackson, United States Air Force (retired), has held key management, operations, and technology positions over a 35-year span in the Department of Defense and commercial sectors providing advanced ISR / EW, cyber, communications, and robotics technology systems and products, and is a recognized business development veteran driving go-to-market strategies and delivering worldwide revenue growth in highly competitive markets. His leadership experience includes domestic and international business environments ranging from entrepreneurial start-ups to large corporations, with expertise in the Intelligence Community, DoD, Homeland Security, and Law Enforcement sectors.
Jackson has been vice president for an award-winning Silicon Valley start-up, and director and senior manager for top-performing commercial, defense and national security community contractors. A career Air Force officer, he held senior executive positions as the director of system engineering for the Nation’s Signals Intelligence Satellites, deputy director of advanced communications for the National Reconnaissance Office, and the President’s senior military diplomat to the Government of Bolivia, as well as executive positions as a US Diplomat to Australia and commander of one of the nation’s premier reconnaissance units.
Jackson holds M.A. degrees in military operational art from the Air War College, national security and strategic studies from the Naval War College, and information systems management from Webster University. He also holds a B.S. degree in mathematics from the University of Central Florida.
