The work aims to reduce the time it takes to distribute information, enabling faster decision-making and response times.

Renée Desporte, a research engineer at SRI, is working on a project that helps speed up and systematize energetics research.

Energetics is a specific discipline that studies the flow and transformation of energy within physical, chemical, and biological systems. These materials are crucial components used in defense applications.

In this video, Desporte discusses her work in energetics for a DARPA-funded program called Rational Integrated Design of Energetics (RIDE), which leverages SRI’s expertise and AI to model and develop tools for efficient automation, ensuring that new models and workflow can be effectively integrated into defense applications.

“I’m working on a project called DARPA RIDE that involves robotics, software, and chemistry all wrapped up into one system.” — Renée Desporte
