Education Research Associate, SRI Education
Ava Celli has expertise in mixed-methods research and program evaluation, assessment, elementary education, social-emotional learning, teaching quality, literacy and language arts, and multilingual learners.
Celli is currently using her expertise to evaluate technical assistance provided by the National Technical Assistance Center for Preschool Development Grants Birth Through Five (PDG B-5 TA) and the Arizona Career Connected Pathways Education Innovation and Research (EIR) Grant. Celli conducts qualitative analyses and contributes to reporting for the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) regarding data governance.
Before joining SRI, Celli taught fourth grade in Houston, Texas as a corps member of Teach for America, then taught third, fourth, and fifth grade for 5 years in Northern Virginia.
Celli holds a Master of Science in educational psychology from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
