Carla Guidi has expertise in early childhood, children with disabilities, school wellness, social-emotional development, public health, health promotion, program needs assessments, program implementation, program evaluation, behavioral science, and virtual events for college students. Guidi is currently using her early childhood expertise to develop technical assistance center processes and deliver technical assistance for the National Technical Assistance Center for Preschool Development Grants Birth through Five (PDG B–5 TA). Guidi is also lending her early childhood and public health data expertise to consult on data governance processes and practices for the Administration for Children and Families.
Before joining SRI, Guidi was a preschool teacher at Bing Nursery School, Stanford University. After her years in teaching, Guidi decided to pursue a master’s degree to further her research and program implementation skills. While Guidi attended graduate school, she had the opportunity to lead the Wellness Policy Program Evaluation for the San Diego Unified School District, the second largest school district in California serving grades K–12. Guidi also led a program evaluation for the Economic Crisis Response Team, a program serving college students at San Diego State University.
Guidi holds a Master’s of Public Health from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Arts in child development from California State University, Chico.
