Quality Systems and Certifications
SRI is committed to quality of service and we strive for continuous and ongoing improvement across the entire organization. Effective quality management is essential to our business and we take steps to illustrate this dedication to every client. SRI’s Quality Management System (QMS) covers all phases of a project and includes a thorough management approach to preventing, detecting, documenting, and resolving actual or potential nonconformance. The QMS includes verification of program and specification requirements, as well as deliverable items, data, software, and hardware.
SRI’s QMS is compliant with the following standards:
- ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, Calibration System Requirements
- ANSI/ESD S20.20-2007, Electrostatic Discharge Control Program
- ANSI/J-STD 001, Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies
- ISO 14644-Series, Clean Room and Work Station Requirements
Listed below are several of SRI’s quality certifications.
(All certificates listed below are active and have been renewed within the last 3 years.)
Integrated Systems and Solutions Division, Princeton, New Jersey
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) promotes the adoption of a process approach when developing, implementing, and improving the effectiveness of a QMS. The emphasis of this standard is to enhance customer satisfaction by meeting customer requirements.
SRI’s Integrated Systems and Solutions Division out of Princeton, New Jersey first achieved ISO 9001 certification in July 2008.
Capability Maturity Model Integrated for Development (CMMI-DEV)
Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) is a process improvement approach developed by the Department of Defense in partnership with industry leaders and administered by the CMMI Institute out of Carnegie Mellon University. CMMI-DEV consists of best practices that address the design and development of Integrated Systems and Solutions, covering the product lifecycle from conception through delivery and maintenance.
SRI’s Integrated Systems and Solutions Division out of Princeton, New Jersey was first appraised at CMMI-DEV Maturity Level 2 on September 13th, 2010 and has been appraised at CMMI-DEV Maturity Level 3 since October 28th, 2011.
Microcircuit Emulation Center, Princeton, New Jersey
DLA (formerly DSCC): MIL-PRF-38535 Class Q
In 1996, the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) awarded SRI's Generalized Emulation of Microcircuits (GEM) team with MIL-PRF- 38535 Class Q Custom Microcircuit Certification. SRI is one of only 40 organizations to achieve this certification though our demonstration of a documented and controlled system for the design, manufacture, and testing of microcircuits. Adhering to MIL-PRF-38535 requirements ensures the integrity of the system, and the delivery of a highly reliable microcircuit that will work to specifications in rugged military environments. This includes complete traceability, total compliance with customer procurement requirements, and delivery with a certificate of conformance.
DLA (formerly DSCC): MIL-STD-883 Laboratory Suitability
In 2003, the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) awarded SRI's Microelectronics Test Laboratory (MTL) with MIL-STD-883 Laboratory Suitability for all Test Methods (TMs) required for verifying Class Q microcircuits. This includes TM 5004 Screening and TM 5005 Groups A, B, C, and D tests.
