The director of SRI’s Center for Health Sciences works with other labs to solve sleep issues by integrating cutting-edge technologies.

One of the things I love about working at SRI is the diversity of the people here in terms of their expertise and the technology. I love the way SRI is able to collaborate on projects. I can bring an issue that I find on a clinical sleep project, and can work with people in AI or robotics, for example, and apply advanced technology to address various issues.

For example, we’ve been very successful with devices to improve insomnia symptoms. This is an area where we needed to collaborate with other divisions that are aligned technologically to bring our strengths together.
