Airline reservation system – 1962

From 1962 to 1964, SRI led the development of a real-time communications system for the Scandinavian Airline System (SAS) to process passenger reservations and check-in. The project resulted in new hardware and software that IBM took to other airlines and to banks, department stores, and other industries.
