Cash management accounts – 1970’s

For Merrill Lynch, SRI created the concept of a convenient, single account combining stock and bond portfolios with money market funds, checking, and credit and debit card services.

A cash management account lets the user manage everyday transactions with services such as check writing, a debit card and online billing tools, while keeping long-term investments on track through access to a broad range of investment products and services—all in a single account.
